Counselling Children – Part 1 (2026)

Welcome to Counselling Children Part 1 at Colombo Theological Seminary.

This course introduces Christian counselling principles and practical skills for helping children, young people and families.

We will explore how to understand children's emotional and spiritual needs, develop attentive listening skills and respond to children facing difficulties with care and compassion.

The course combines biblical teaching with practical counselling methods, including the Lord's Prayer as a counselling framework and the Helping Hands Counselling Model.

Students will participate in discussions, practical activities and role plays to develop their confidence and skills in helping children.

My prayer is that this course will not only increase your knowledge but also deepen your compassion for children and families.
